So you've seen eight strange Japanese films, washed it down with 48
buckets of blood, watched a stop-motion movie about a reassembled dog,
tried to mimic Karl Urban's grimace, and reveled in indie video games.
And that's just for starters. How do you continue your streak of
Fantastic Festing? With a board game, of course!
But not just any board game. This game looks down at all other games
and calls them pussies. Especially because it doesn't even use a
board. Behold the awesome righteous indignation that is Cards Against
Humanity. The game that calls itself "The Party Game For Horrible
People" sneers at all other games and takes you into the depths and
depravity of the human condition. Basically, it's like Apples to
Apples for assholes.
Head over to the first ever Board Game Happy Hour on Monday at The
Highball from 4:30pm to 6:30 pm. We'll be playing Cards Against
Humanity on stage with audience participation, and there will be board
game prizes as well. Brought to you by Austin's own Dragon's Lair
Comics and Fantasy and boardgamegeek.com, and hosted by pop culture
writer (and board game junkie) Kevin Kelly.
